Colostomy
What is it? It is a part of the large bowel (colon). It is flush with the skin or slightly raised about 1/2 cm.
Position: Usually on the left side of the abdomen.
Type of output: Soft formed faeces (stool) once or twice a day.
Type of pouch: Closed pouch
